Q. What is the process for obtaining patent drawings?

A. Send the originals to us by email or mail. A quote can be provided upon request. Formal drawings will be sent by email for your approval.

 

 

Q. What source material should be provided to obtain patent drawings?

A. We can draw from informal drawings, sketches, photos, or prototypes.

 

 

Q. What is the usual turnaround time for a job?

A. Usual turnaround time is 2 weeks. If drawings are required sooner we can accomodate rush deadlines as well.

 

 

Q. Is there a confidentiality agreement?

A. We can sign a confidentiality agreement upon request. Inventions are not discussed with anyone other than our illustrators.

 

 

Q. What software do you use to prepare the drawings?

A. We use several programs including Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD and Photoshop. Final drawings are sent in PDF format.

 

Q. Which patent drawing regulations are followed?

A. The drawings are prepared for filing with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) or the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) for foreign patents. We can prepare drawings for other countries with specific requirements as well.
